Look closely! On every page, find BrittBritt the Butterfly and the sleepy sloth napping somewhere new. Can you spot Rocco’s hammer before he does?

Rocco the chimpanzee mid-backflip in the jungle, dreaming up his obstacle course

Rocco loved to leap and climb,to race through vines and trees all day,to splash through streams and shout, “Woo-hoo!”in his cheeky chimpanzee way.

But one bright morning, mid-backflip,he landed with a THUMP and said,“I’ve got it! Here’s the greatest planthat ever popped into my head!

I’m going to build the ultimate course—”he beat his chest, then struck a pose,“with ropes and logs and muddy pitsand maybe something no one knows…”

Rocco hunting for his hammer in a towering heap of sticks, logs and vines while Joyful the Giraffe bends down to help

He gathered sticks. He gathered twine. He stacked up logs beside the trail. But when he reached to grab his hammer—no hammer! Rocco gave a wail.

Then Joyful the Giraffe strolled by.“What’s wrong?” she asked, and bent down low.“My hammer’s gone!” poor Rocco cried.“I set it down right here—I know!”

Joyful smiled. “Here’s a rule I keep—it saves me searching every day:Never put down. Always put away.Give every tool a place to stay.”

So Rocco sorted every stick, each rope, each log, each tangled vine…and at the bottom of the heap—his hammer! “There you are! You’re mine!”

Rocco zooming past Coco the Cockatoo, then skidding into the mud and waving hello

He hung it on a hook with care.“A place for you!” Then off he flew.

He dashed ahead with such a zoomhe nearly blurred right through the trees, and rushed right past sweet Coco’s perchwithout a wave, a “Hey,” or “Please.”

“SQUAWK!” cried Coco. “Well, hello? You zipped right by and didn’t stop!”Poor Rocco skidded, slipped, and spun, and landed with a muddy PLOP.

Coco fluffed her feathered crest.“Here’s something every friend should know:Big Greetings! Wave and smile and say,‘I’m glad you’re here!’—and let it show.”

So Rocco waved with both big arms.“Hey, Coco! Our race is tomorrow at noon!”Coco grinned. “Now THAT’S hello! But where will you build it? You’d better start soon!”

BrittBritt the Butterfly leading Rocco and his friends to a sunny clearing by the banyan tree

Soon BrittBritt Butterfly fluttered near.“I know the perfect place,” said she.“A sunny clearing past the bend, right by the giant banyan tree.”

Rocco rushed there with all his friends—and then, instead of getting to work, they chased bright frogs and rolled in grassand watched Luke Lemur go berserk.

The sun climbed high. The tools sat still. Then BrittBritt landed on his nose.“Prep Before We Play!” she said.“Work first, then fun—that’s how it goes.”

Rocco groaned… then gave a grin.“You’re right. Let’s build before we play.”So everyone grabbed rope and tools, and the course began that very day.

Cannon the Cougar and Jack the Jaguar stacking logs as Saige the Sheep brings armfuls of vines

Cannon the Cougar and Jack the Jaguarstacked heavy logs in tidy lines. Then Saige the Sheep came trotting inwith fluffy arms of twisting vines.

But Rocco worked and never thanked them,so Saige leaned close and softly said,“Never keep a compliment a secret—say what you’re thinking—out loud instead!”

Rocco blinked. “You’re right!” he said.“Saige, thank you for these vines! And Cannon, Jack—look at those logs! You stacked them straight as perfect lines!”

At once the team stood taller, brighter. The work felt lighter. Smiles grew wide. And all because some thankful wordswere spoken out, not kept inside.

Aunt Vivi Antelope teaching a tired Rocco the GREEN Routine

Rocco worked till sweat dripped down.He hauled and hammered without stop. But then his tummy gave a growl, and down his energy went—FLOP.

Then Aunt Vivi Antelope bounded up.“My friend, your tank is running low!Try the GREEN Routine—it’s howstrong builders keep the strength to go:

G is Gratitude. R is Read.E is Exercise—stretch up high!E’s Encourage. N is Nourish—eat good food and drink. Now try!”

So Rocco gave thanks, read his plan, stretched high, and cheered his friends along. He ate cool fruit and drank and rested—and soon he felt fresh, focused, and strong!

Zizi Zebra encouraging Rocco to ask his friends good questions

The course had pits and hoops and walls, yet Rocco sighed. “It needs one thing…”Then Zizi Zebra trotted near, with stripes that swirled in painted rings.

“Don’t guess,” said Zizi. “Ask your friends! The Curious Conquer—that’s the key.Ask good questions. Listen close. You’ll build much more than you can see.”

So Rocco grabbed a giant leafand used a twig to jot things down.“What would make this course more fun?”he asked his friends from all around.

Rocco writing every friend's idea on a giant leaf as the course takes shape

Luke the Lemur wanted vines.Jones the Jackrabbit asked for speed.Boom the Bison wanted a beam.Steelman said, “A slide is what we need!”

Cruze the Crane asked for rings, and Dylen the Dove, a tunnel to zoom.Weston the Wildebeest begged for mud—“A squishy, sloshy, sludgy room!”

Rocco listened, leaf in hand, and wrote down every single one. Then piece by piece he built them in—and the course got better for everyone!

Aunt KK the Koala showing Rocco how to lead with love

But soon a few got silly and loud.Rocco frowned and almost yelled, “NOW!”Then Aunt KK the Koala climbed downand gently said, “Let me show you how.

Lead With Love. Don’t boss your friends—show them you care, and tell them why.The best leaders serve and help their team. That’s how they lift each other high.”

Rocco took one deep chimpanzee breath, then tried again in a kinder way:“Jones, can you test the speed-run lane?Boom, will you check this beam today?”

The whole team building together, each friend in just the right place

“Luke, help us swing the vines just right.Saige, bring more twine from up the hill.Cannon and Jack, check every log.Let’s build the best course ever—we will!”

Now everyone worked with happy hearts—still busy, but not out of hand.Boards were straightened. Knots were tied. Each friend knew just where to stand.

But still one challenge waited high, one final part above the ground…And when poor Rocco looked up there, his brave face drooped without a sound.

Christian the Lion encouraging Rocco at the wobbly rope bridge high in the trees

There, in the trees, the last bridge hung—a wobbly rope bridge, steep and tall.It swayed and tipped in the windy air.Rocco whispered, “What if I fall?”

His tummy flipped. His hands felt cold.He thought, “Perhaps I’ll skip this part…”Then Christian the Lion padded nearand spoke right into Rocco’s heart:

“Courage Over Comfort, friend. When something hard feels scary to do,you don’t have to feel unafraid—just choose the brave thing, and go through.”

Rocco swallowed. Then he nodded.“Okay,” he said. “I’ll try. I must.”He grabbed the rope. He took one step. The bridge swung hard in one big gust…

Jack the Jaguar helping Rocco up after his fall, then Rocco crossing the bridge

The bridge flipped round—and Rocco fell!Down, down he tumbled, round and round, through leaves and branches, bump and bounce, and landed—PLOMP!—on mossy ground.

“You fell—and that’s okay,” said Jack, the Jaguar, helping Rocco stand.“The brave fall down. The brave get up.Let’s try again. Here—take my hand.”

So Rocco climbed and held on tight—one step, then two, then three… then through!“I did it!” Rocco shouted, beaming.“I fell, got up, and made it too!”

Jack, Cannon and Saige checking every rope, board and beam before race day

Then Jack said, “Brother, one more rulebefore tomorrow’s race is run:Follow up, follow through, and finish strong.Almost done is not yet done.

Check each rope and board and beam,so nothing’s loose and nothing’s wrong.”Rocco nodded. “You’re exactly right. We’ve come too far—let’s finish strong!”

Jack checked ladders, Cannon logs, and Saige checked vines from end to end.Together they made each part feel safeand strong enough for every friend.

Race day: the friends splashing, ducking and swinging through the finished course

Then down the path came happy stomps—race day had come! The friends were here, lined up and wiggling, stretched and laughing, with leafy crowns from ear to ear.

“Ready… set… GO!” cried Rocco loudly. And off they raced through mud and sun. They splashed through water, ducked through tunnels, and swung through vines with joyful fun.

“This is amazing!” everyone cheered.“The greatest course we’ve ever seen!”And Rocco’s heart felt big and warm, like sunlight pouring through the green.

Rocco and his friends under the moon and fireflies after the big day

That night, beneath the silver moon,Rocco sat with all his friends. The jungle hummed a sleepy song. The perfect day had reached its end.

“I thought I had to build alone,”Rocco said. “But now I knowbig dreams grow best with helping heartsand wise habits—that’s how they grow.

You taught me how to greet with joy,to put away, to plan, to care,to thank, to ask, to lead with love,be brave, finish strong—and share.”

The stars blinked high. The leaves swayed soft. The jungle glowed with firefly light. And Rocco’s greatest build of allwas not the course—it was the way they built it right.
